Are you angry with God, or confused or afraid?
Hurt or frustrated with plans you have made?
Do you wander in grayness between wrong and right?
Come into the light, come into the light.

Has this year been for you full of darkness, despair?
Does your soul sometimes wonder if Jesus is there?
Has 2005 been for you one long night?
Look at the baby. God gave us the light.

The light always is, always was before time.
God created us for this gift so sublime.
We escape from blindness, discover true sight,
When we realize we must give ourselves to the light.

Are you choosing to hide in the shadows instead,
Afraid of exposure and burdened with dread
Because you know something in your life's not right?
Jesus calls to you, "Come, step into the light."

There's grace and forgiveness and bright liberation!
God's embrace is sweet illumination.
Your Savior awaits - to forgive, not indict,
But you must decide to come into the light.

Do you see someone hurting in sorrow and pain,
Unable to get up and move on again?
Don't know how to help them continue the fight?
Take them to Jesus. Say, "There is the light."

The light shines within you. God put it in you.
He made you the light so you can give, too.
There are many in darkness who need what you know.
Get out of the way and let yourself glow!
