Ruth Ann Corbin


Ruthann Latimer Corbin, 66, a retired teacher at Sidney Deemer Elementary School, died Nov. 2, 2004. She was the wife of Bob J. Corbin, a professor at Harding University. On Nov. 26, 2004, they would have been married 45 years.

Ruthanann was born Jan. 20, 1937, in Hobart, Oklahoma, to Charles Wesley and Evelyn Johnson Latimer, both of whom are deceased. She completed a bachelor's degree at Harding in 1977 and was a math and fourth grade teacher prior to her retirement. She was a member of the college church of Christ.

At the time of her death, she was survived by a son, R. Scott Corbin and his wife, Jennie, two daughters, Connie (Mrs. Mark) White and Cheryl (Mrs. Scott) Finley, all of Searcy, two sisters Margaret Davis of Las Cruces, N.M., and Marie Atterberry of Bella Vista, AR, and nine grand children: Grant, Cara, and Garrett White; Ty, Trent, and Tara Finley; and Mullen, Grayson, and Tucker Corbin.

She was buried in Oklawn Memorial Gardens in Searcy, Arkansas.
