The goal of this website is to present written and audio lessons provided by men that are sound in the scriptures who approach the bible with the intent of learning what it teaches rather than to prove a preconceived supposition of what they want the bible to say. That is a huge difference in approach and the results of different approachs vary considerably. A major reason for the different "Christian" denominations today can be attributed to the different approaches that are taken to studying the bible.

Of course a different approach was predicted in the scriptures with dire consequences to follow. Please refer to:

"2Pe 3:14 Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, 2Pe 3:15 and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, 2Pe 3:16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. -- NASB version

While I was preparing for this I ran across an article on the web by some person identified as clergy who was presenting 10 reasons why homosexuality is approved by Christ. This was an example of trying to prove something they believed in rather than an attempt to decern what the bible says about homosexuality. If you have studied the bible at all, you know that the bible condemns sexual immorality, homosexuality being one form, and has dire predictions as to the eternal future of those who participate in such activities. So how can someone arrive at the conclusion that homosexuality is pleasing to God?? They want to believe that. Their arguments make no sense and neither does homosexual behaviour.

beginning

" Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, 'Brethren, what shall we do?'
Peter said to them, 'Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
